WOMAN TECHNIQUE

 

SCHEDULE

4.30pm- 5.30pm  LEVEL 1

5.30pm-6.30pm  LEVEL 2

 

The goal of these lessons is to give all the students some tools to dance not just as a follower, but as a “dancer”.

In the first class we’ll improve our posture and stability working on foot support and body balance, starting without shoes. Then we’ll try on high heels. Afterwords we’ll work on some simple steps  improving the quality of movement and coordination.

In the second class we’ll front more complex dynamics practicing some dancing sequences with and without music in order to improve fluency, elegance and musicality. We’ll also introduce some adornos (embellishments)

You can attend a single class but we suggest to do the complete didactic path.

The classes are held by Sara Casotti.

Bring socks and tango shoes.

The goal of these lessons is to give all the students some tools to improve the quality of movement and the body stability in order to do fluid and comfortable steps. One level.

How to organize our body to handle most complicated movements: from leader’s enrosque to follower’s back sacada!
LEVEL: Intermediate/ Advanced

An entertaining and challenging sequence that combines many of the most iconic steps of Tango.

4:30pm-5:30pm  WORKSHOP 2 “Volcada” 
Discovering the “off-axis” in a stunning movement that can be used, in the right way, also in tight spaces.

5.30pm -7:30pm TANGO PRACTICE with free dancing
Teachers available for help.

Here we’re: ready for Tango Classes 2022/2023

We’re happy to announce that we have a new location for our Thursday classes: we’ll be in Via Voghera 9 (at Teatri Possibili). It’s in a central and very nice area of the city, easy to reach by metro (Porta Genova) or by public transportation in general. It’s also very close to the “Green Room” in Via San Vincenzo 25, our place in the Green Cross building for Wednesday classes and other activities.

 

LOCATIONS MAP

Tango Touch courses will start on September 21st and 22nd.

The Open Days – with free trial classes – will take place On September 14th and 15th.

Registration is mandatory, you have to fill in the google form.

For this first term we’ve scheduled two classes for Absolute Beginners, one for Beginners 2/Intermediate level and one for Intermediate 2 level.

7:30pm- 8:30pm WORKSHOP 1 “The magic of Tango Embrace” LEVEL I – OPEN (also for absolute beginners)
Engaging, immersive, comfortable and effective: this is how our tango embrace shoud be in order to dance improvising, with little effort and a lot of fun! Tips & tricks to find the perfect embrace.

A whole day dedicated to a very important topic for all dancers: CONNECTION. With or without physical contact.
Two workshops and then to follow… our tango practice!

WORKSHOP 1 /  3 pm – 4 pm “Tango: connection and «tune in»”
To improve the communication between the two dancers.
Open to Tango dancers, beginners as well (the intensive minicourse is enough)

WORKSHOP 2 / 4.15 pm 5.15 pm “Zamba Argentina” 
To discover one of the most charming dance from Argentine Folklore and – at the same time – improve the perception of our body in the space and in the relationship with the other dancer.
